Description

Wergs Farmhouse is an 18th-century farmhouse with later additions in the early 19th century. The front (south) elevation, built in the early 19th century, is symmetrical with two storeys and an attic, featuring three windows. It has a slate roof with brick dentil eaves, rendered walling, a first-floor band, and a plinth. The windows are sash windows set in reveals, with the ground-floor openings being wider and of Victorian design. A solid porch with a pediment supported by Tuscan pilasters shelters a solid doorframe. The doorframe contains a three-pane fanlight and a six-panelled door, the upper two panels glazed. The rear part of the farmhouse has a tile roof and rectangular chimneys with diagonal flues.
