Description

No. 15 (Portsdown) on Eastbourne Road is a house that dates from the 17th century or earlier. It has been refronted with flints, featuring red brick dressings and stone quoins, although some timber framing is still visible at the back. The house has a tiled roof and retains sash windows with intact glazing bars. It is two storeys high and has three windows along with two dummy windows. The gable at the back displays the initials "H.E.M." and the date 1678.
