Description

The Hoo is a large early 20th-century house designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens for Alexander Wedderburn in 1902, considered one of his finest residential works. It has since been converted into 11 flats. The main facade, facing south, is divided into a central three-storey section of five windows, and projecting two-storey wings of five windows each. The construction is painted brick with red brick dressings and quoins, topped by a tiled roof. The central section features three weatherboarded gables containing attic windows. The wings have hipped roofs, each with three dormers.
