Description

The garden walls and two gazebos located on the south side of Nos 1 to 11 Church Street in Willingdon were designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens. The structure features two courtyards enclosed on the north side by a painted brick wall topped with red brick coping and circular openings. The garden on the south side also designed by Lutyens includes flint walls that lead to a flint-faced terrace. At the corners of this terrace are two square gazebos, which are faced with flints and have red brick dressings and quoins, along with hipped tiled roofs.
