Description

This building comprises two cottages, Abbey Green Cottage and Market Green Cottage, situated on the north-east side of Battle High Street. The rear portion of the building dates back to around 1600, while the front appears to be 17th century but has been refaced at a later date. The building is two storeys high, with four windows. The ground floor is faced with red brick, while the upper floor is tile-hung. It has a tiled roof and casement windows. The interior retains 17th-century fireplaces.
