Description
Nos 12 to 14 on High Street are 18th century houses that were refronted with curved tiles in the 19th century. They are two storeys high with an attic and feature five windows and five dormers. No 14 has a bay window on the first floor. The houses have a wooden eaves cornice and a tiled roof, with glazing bars intact except for the bay window. Each house includes a shop front, with No 12 dating from the mid-19th century, while Nos 13 and 14 have later shop fronts. No 12 also features a sundial on its front wall. These houses are part of a group that includes Nos 6, 7, 7A, and Nos 9 to 17, along with gate piers, The Old Coach House, a gazebo in the garden of No 11, and the Rye Working Men's Conservative Club.
