Description

The gate piers on High Street date from the late 18th century or early 19th century. They are made of painted stone and feature paneling with a central flower rosette decoration. The caps of the piers are adorned with egg and dart moulding. These gate piers, along with Nos 6, 7, 7A, and Nos 9 to 17 in succession, the Old Coach House, the gazebo in the garden of No 11, and the Rye Working Men's Conservative Club, form a group of historically significant structures.
