Description
This is a pair of 18th-century houses on the south side of High Street. They are two storeys and have an attic, with two windows each. The front is stuccoed and features a cornice and parapet. Small bay windows are located on the first floor of each house, and one additional bay window is on the ground floor of number 100, to the left of the door. The ground floors of both houses are occupied by shop fronts; the shop front of number 100 is particularly prominent, featuring a 19th-century projecting design with a hood that extends the full length of the shop and halfway across the pavement, supported by a row of brackets. Numbers 99 and 100 are part of a group with numbers 92 to 97 (the George Hotel) and numbers 99 to 104A.
