Description

Nos 12 and 14 on Ferry Road are early 19th century buildings that front an older structure. They are two storeys high and have two windows. The buildings are made of brick and feature a parapet with a tiled roof. An older hipped roof and gable end can be seen above the parapet. The upper storey includes one bay window and one sash window. The ground floor has one modern shop window at No 12 and a curved corner shop window from the 19th century at No 14. These buildings, along with Nos 2 to 14 (even) and The Crown Inn, form a group with Nos 2 to 6 (even) on Cinque Ports Street, marking the entrance to Rye.
