Description

Becket Yew Tree House, located on Yew Tree Plat in Icklesham, is a building dating from the 17th century or earlier. It has two storeys and an attic, featuring seven windows and two hipped dormers. The ground floor is constructed of painted brick, while the upper floor is tile-hung. The roof is half-hipped and tiled. Most windows are casements, with two being sash windows. There is a modern bay window in the center on both floors. The north end of the building extends out on stone rubble pilasters. Yew Tree House includes an L-plan extension to the southwest. Below Yew Tree Plat, there is a vaulted cellar that dates back to around 1300.
