Description

This circa 1800 building is a stucco-fronted house with a brick rear elevation. It has a low-pitched slate roof with decorative brackets to the eaves soffit and wide eaves. The house is two storeys high with a basement. The front features a half-glazed and panelled front door and a sash window with glazing bars, both set within slightly recessed arches. The first floor has casement windows with glazing bars, set within wide moulded stucco architraves. Contemporary iron area railings are present, featuring turned newels topped with urns and spearheads. Numbers 48 to 54 (even) form a group, with number 54 being of local interest only.
