Description
No 97 on High Street is a building dated 1668, which was refaced in the 18th century. It has two storeys and an attic, featuring a stuccoed first floor with a parapet and a painted brick ground floor. The ground floor has a modern splayed bay window with glazing bars, while the first floor has modern three-light casement windows, also with glazing bars. There are two flat-roofed dormers in the attic. The steep-pitched tiled roof has gable ends. Inside, there is a moulded stop-chamfered beam on the ground floor. At the rear, there is a brick-encased wing with a late 18th-century panelled room on the ground floor. All the listed buildings on High Street up to and including No 118 are part of a group.
