Description
No 98 on High Street is a building dating from around 1800. It features a red brick front with blue headers and has a parapet. The hipped roof is covered with new tiles, and the side wall is tile hung. The building stands three storeys high and is two windows wide. There are brick string courses at the first and second floor levels. The first and second floor windows are sashes with glazing bars and flat brick arches. The ground floor has a three-light segmental bowed window, also with sashes and glazing bars. To the left, there is a double recessed round arch doorway that includes a traceried fanlight and a panelled door, with steps leading up to it, bordered by iron rails. All the listed buildings on High Street up to and including No 118 form a group.
