Description
No 68 on Longwestgate is a late 18th-century building that stands two storeys high with an attic and a basement. It is constructed of red brick and features a string course at the first floor level. The gable end roof is covered with pantiles and has brick dentil eaves, along with a gabled dormer. Each floor has paired sash windows that are two panes wide, with arched heads on the lower windows. The entrance door consists of six fielded panels and is topped with a pediment hood supported by scroll brackets. Access to the door is via a flight of steps set sideways, which has plain iron railings. No 68 is part of a group that includes Nos 72 to 76 (even).
