Description
No 2 Princess Street is an early 19th-century building featuring three storeys of red brick and a gable end roof covered with pantiles. The façade has three windows, with the center window being narrow and fitted with flush framed sashes that have later glazing. On the first floor to the left, there is a canted bay window that retains its glazing bars in the sash lights, along with a cornice and a flush panelled apron. The ground floor has a small plain shop front on the left, which includes a central half-glazed door beneath a moulded flat hood supported by cut brackets, and a double flush framed sash window on the right. No 2 is part of a group with Nos 24, 25, and 26 St Mary's Street, and all the listed buildings on the north side from Nos 2 to 30 form a cohesive architectural group.
