Description

5 and 7 Princess Street are a pair of buildings dating from the late 18th century. They are constructed of red brick on a rendered plinth, with a gable-ended pantile roof. The front has three window bays, although the first floor window is blocked. The recessed sash windows on the first floor have no glazing bars. The ground floor centre features a large arched recess with a pair of fielded panel doors and false painted fanlights above each door. There are three steps leading up to the entrance, with plain wrought iron rails and scrapers. The listed buildings from numbers 5 to 25 on the South Side form a group.
