Description

Croft Cottage, located at No 52 on The Croft, dates from around 1800. It features a painted mathematical tile front set on a brick base, with tile-hung sides and a slate hipped roof. The building has two storeys and a basement, with two windows that are sashes with glazing bars in flush casings. To the right, there is a fielded-panel door situated in a tall pilastered doorcase, which includes a frieze, a wide cornice, and a rectangular fanlight with glazing bars. Croft Cottage is part of a group with Nos 48 to 54, where No 54 is noted as a building of local interest only.
