Description

Manor House Cottages, located at No 10 on the east side of High Street, dates back to 1614. This 18th-century building features a painted brick facade and stands two storeys tall. The ground floor has three sash windows and a door on the left, while the first floor has three additional sash windows. Notable architectural details include moulded boxed eaves and guttering, a ridge tile roof with one end hipped, and three small flat-roofed leaded dormers. There are two painted brick stacks positioned in the centre. The entrance is marked by an 18th-century panelled door with a top light and a flat projecting moulded hood above, accessible by two steps. The sash windows, which include glazing bars, are set beneath flat segmental brick arches. This house was originally part of the stable buildings belonging to the Manor House. Manor House Cottages forms a group with Nos 6 to 24 (even).
