Description

No 12 on High Street is an early 19th-century building constructed in stucco. It features a three-storey facade with a basement area at the front, which is enclosed by cast iron ornamental railings. The left side of the elevation is slightly recessed, and there are projecting boxed eaves and a gutter. The roof is hipped and covered with slate.

The center of the building has a projecting splayed bay that rises two storeys and has a flat leaded roof. The ground floor window of the bay is non-opening and has vertical glazing bars, with a painted wooden panel above it. On the first floor, there are sash windows. To the right, there is a half-glazed and panelled door that is sheltered by a projecting bracketed hood. To the left, there is an entrance to a covered yard with double oak gates. The building has various 19th-century sash windows, some of which retain their glazing bars. Above the first-floor windows, there is a continuous stucco band.

This building is part of a group that includes Nos 6 to 24 (even).
