Description
Mount Lodge is a building dating from around 1870 and is attributed to the architect Decimus Burton. It features a stuccoed exterior and a slate hipped roof with bracketed eaves. The structure has three storeys and a semi-basement. The central projection of the building includes windows with quoins and a rusticated ground floor. On the ground floor, there are two moulded round-headed windows with an impost mould. The first floor has three pilastered round-arched windows with a large moulded cill, while the second floor features two square sashes in moulded architraves with a continuous large moulded cill. All the sashes are without glazing bars. The building also has stuccoed chimneys topped with moulded cornices. A single-storey porch is set back at the side and includes a round-headed pilastered doorway. Mount Lodge, along with Nos 1 to 11, forms a group, although Nos 8 to 11 are of local interest only.
