Description
St Leonard's Lodge is a three-storey house built around 1845, designed by Decimus Burton, who lived here for many years. The building is constructed from coursed ironstone and features a basement. It has a hipped slate roof with wide bracketed eaves and multiple stone chimney stacks topped with cornices and tall octagonal pots. The design is asymmetrical, with stone quoins and string courses. The garden elevation is not particularly impressive, while the main elevation facing the drive features a large round-headed front door with stone architraves set within a projecting bay. To the left, there is a gable end with ornamental bargeboards. All windows are rectangular, and there are wrought iron railings surrounding the basement area. The building has been divided into flats.
