Description

The Horse and Groom Public House is an early to mid 19th century building designed by James Burton. It features a painted stucco exterior with a parapet and cornice. The structure stands three storeys tall and has three windows, with the centre window on the second floor being blind. The windows are sashes with glazing bars. The ground floor showcases an early to mid 19th century public house front, complete with pilasters and an entablature, along with later 19th century bar windows. The roof is slate. Originally, this building served as a board and lodging house for servants. It is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 5 and Nos 7 to 11, with some of these properties being of local interest only.
