Description

No. 2 Maze Hill is a house built in 1832 by James Burton in the Tudor Gothic style. Located at the end of a row, it is set back from the road. The house is stuccoed and features a parapet, rising to three storeys with two windows. The first and second floors have two-light casement windows with dripmouldings, including very tall French casements on the first floor. A modern projecting ground floor incorporates a balcony above. To the right is a one-storey porch with a stepped parapet and a doorway with a three-centred arch. Behind the porch, on the side of the house, is a circular stair tower that rises above the roofline. The listing recognises Nos. 2 to 6 Maze Hill as forming a group.
