Description

Great Ridge is a house dating to 1656, as indicated by a carving on the door lintel. It is a two-storey building with an attic, featuring three windows. The ground floor is constructed of brick, while the upper storey is tile-hung. The roof is tiled and hipped. The windows are 3-light casements with glazing bars. A brick gabled porch is situated off-centre to the left, and a lean-to extends from the left end. A small, two-storey projecting wing is located on the right end, with a stone ground floor and tile hanging above; this wing has casement windows. Later brick chimney stacks have been added, along with one small gabled dormer. The interior features stop-chamfered ceiling beams with run-out stops.
