Description

Hall Garth is a house built in 1685, as noted on the carved datestone above the door, with 18th century and later extensions added to the rear. The house is constructed of red brick and has a plain tile roof. It is two storeys high and features three bays, including a projecting porch and a later rear wing.

The porch has a round-headed opening with a gauged brick arch leading to a 19th century panelled door, and the datestone is situated above it. On the first floor, there is a 16-pane sash window with a sill beneath a wedge lintel. The gable features a 2-light mullioned window, also under a wedge lintel, with a coped gable supported by kneelers and topped with finials. The rest of the main range includes 16-pane sash windows with sills and wedge lintels on both the first and second floors. The gables are coped and have finials, and there are rear wall stacks. The interior has not been inspected.
