Description

Nos 117 and 117A comprise an 18th-century building with a stuccoed front and parapet, concealing an earlier timber-frame structure. It has a steeply-pitched roof covered with new tiles and gable ends. The building is two storeys and has an attic, with a two-window front. Modern casements with glazing bars now occupy the window openings, replacing the original sashes. A small, circular window is centrally placed on the first floor. The central doorway is round-headed with a fanlight, and has a modern door. A round-headed passageway is on the right-hand side. Two modern, flat-roofed dormers are present. Nos 117 and 117A, together with the listed buildings on the High Street up to and including No 118, form a group of buildings of group value.
