Description

These are a range of four terraced houses, numbers 10 to 13, built around 1820. They are stuccoed with a rusticated ground floor. A parapet tops the building, concealing a slate mansard roof with flat-headed dormers featuring sash windows with glazing bars. The houses extend over four storeys, with an attic and a basement level. Each house has one window across, with four windows in total for the terrace.

The first floor of each house features a recessed canted bay with French windows. Decorative ironwork balconies with slender columns supporting tent-shaped canopies are present on these bays, although the canopy for number 10 is missing. The houses have round-headed doorways with voussoirs, moulded panelled doors, and fanlights; the fanlight to number 11 is blocked. Basement area railings are also included in the listing.

The listed buildings of Wellington Square are considered to form a group due to their cohesive architectural style.
