Description

This landscape garden feature is located in the grounds of a former large estate, now part of the Reading University campus. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of stone. The feature consists of an outcrop of large rocks that are roughly coursed, with a semi-circular recession at the head of a lake, retaining earth behind it.
