Description

South Lodge is an early 19th-century lodge located on the west side of Earley Whiteknights Road. It is constructed of stuccoed brick and features a slate roof, designed in a T-plan layout with one storey. The building has a plinth, an impost band, a dentilled course, and gable pediments. There is a single stack on the outer pediment. The lodge has recessed arches on three sides, which contain plain Venetian windows with glazing bars, as well as a plain door with a casement above it that leads to the road. Additionally, there is a ramped wall leading down to a former gate opening to the north, and a small wing is present at the rear.
