Description
Land's End House is a house built in 1935 by architect Guy Morgan for Miles, an aircraft manufacturer, and was extended by him in 1942. The house is constructed of rendered and painted brick with a flat asphalted roof. It has a T-plan layout and stands two storeys tall, featuring large projecting eaves.
The entrance front includes a later extension on the left, which has six, three, and two light metal casement windows on the first floor, and two large sliding windows on the ground floor. To the right of this extension is a full height projecting entrance porch that features a one light casement window and a two-light window that returns to a one light window around the corner on the first floor. On the ground floor, there is a recessed entrance with a flush door. To the right of the porch, there is a large horizontal window on the first floor and a four-light casement window below it. In the re-entrant space between the entrance porch and the extension, there is a full height staircase window that is nearly glazed to the ground level, set on a swept plinth.
