Description
Nos. 31 and 33 Denmark Street is a cottage, now used as an office, dating from the early 17th century. It has been altered and restored in the late 20th century. The building features a timber frame with painted render infill and an old tile gabled roof. It has a lobby entrance plan consisting of two framed bays and stands two storeys tall. A central ridge chimney is present, and on the first floor, there are 20th-century casement windows behind diamond mullions. The ground floor has 20th-century single fixed light windows situated between the framing. Inside, the timber frame is fully exposed, although some timbers have been replaced. The roof structure includes a queen post roof with clasped purlins. This property is now part of No. 35, which is listed separately.
