Description

The barns at Holme Park Farm, located 200 meters west of Sonning Lane, are two joined structures dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. Each barn has five bays, old tiled roofs, and central wagon entrances. The barn on the right features a hipped entry, while the barn on the left has a half hipped entry. The walls are partly constructed with brick nogging within a timber frame, but are mostly covered with weatherboarding. Both barns have Queen post trusses and clasped purlins. The 18th-century barn is part-aisled and has "JP 1796" carved into one of its principal ties.
