Description
North Lodge is a cottage that was originally built as a lodge in the 19th century. It is a single storey with an attic and features a late Victorian design in the Gothick style. The building has an irregular shape and is constructed from brick with decorative flint courses. It includes leaded casement windows, stone mullions, transoms, and stone dressings. There are dormer windows on the side elevations and a stair turret at the rear. The roof is tiled.
The east front of the lodge is part of an old brick and flint wall that borders Bishops Close. It has a six-light casement window with a stone drip mould and a label hood, along with an upper four-light oriel window. At the top of the wall, there is a toothed brick course beneath shaped coping bricks. The central chimney is square and fluted with multiple shafts. The gable ends are topped with stone copings and finials. There is a 20th-century extension to the left.
