Description

Cutbush is a farmhouse, now a house, dating to the 16th century, with alterations in the 17th century and the early 20th century. It has a long, rectangular plan with six framed bays arranged in three stages. Parts of the building are timber framed with rendered brick infill, while others are entirely rendered. The roof is of old tiles and has three different ridge heights. The building is partially two storeys and partially one-and-a-half storeys in height. There are three chimneys, two on the south-west front and one at the rear. The south-west front features scattered 2 and 3-light leaded casement windows dating to the 20th century, and a small gabled dormer on the right-hand stage slightly left of centre. A planked entrance door is located roughly in the centre of the left-hand stage. A barn adjoins the building on the right and at a right angle, and is listed separately. Cutbush was formerly known as Badger Farm.
