Description
Bridge House is a large cottage dating from the 16th century, with additions from the 17th century and alterations made in the 20th century. The building features a combination of timber framing with painted brick infill and sections that are entirely painted brick, topped with an old tile gabled roof. It has a T-plan layout, consisting of two framed bays in the center and two additional framed bays on either side, positioned at right angles. The cottage is two storeys high and has a chimney on the ridge.
On the north front, the left wing is set back and includes three upper 2-light 20th-century leaded casements, along with two and three-light casements on the ground floor. The right wing features a ledged entrance door at the angle, with one bay of single lights to the right of the door, a central upper 2-light casement, and a 4-light casement to the right on the ground floor; all of these are also 20th-century leaded casements.
