Description
35 The Terrace is a small house dating from the late 16th century, with alterations made in the 18th century and an extension added in the late 20th century. The building is timber framed and encased in brick, topped with an old tile gabled roof. It has an irregular plan featuring two framed bays and a rear extension, and it stands two storeys tall. There is a ridge chimney on the left side and another chimney at the rear, both with clay pots. The front has a two-bay layout with three-light leaded casements, which are taller on the ground floor and have segmental heads, along with a central entrance door from the 20th century. Inside, the timber frame is visible on both floors, and there are two principal beams on the ground floor that have chamfers, one of which features lamb's tongue stops.
