Description
41 The Terrace is a house dating from the late 16th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It features a timber frame with brick infill and part brick construction, topped by an old tile gabled roof. The building has a rectangular plan consisting of three framed bays, with an extension to the west, part of which is now No. 43, which is listed separately. The house is two storeys high and has a large chimney located near the centre of the rear wall.
The front of the house shows some exposed timber framing with thin stud members. On the first floor to the left, there is a sliding sash window with glazing bars, while to the right, there are one and two-light leaded casement windows. On the ground floor, there is a 20th-century bay window with a pent roof, and to the left of this is a 20th-century entrance door set in a recessed porch, which is accessed by three steps. On the right side, there are wooden garage doors.
