Description

A pair of houses located on The Terrace in Wokingham, dating to the late 18th century. The houses were originally listed as numbers 27 and 29 in 1951 and renumbered as 29 and 31. They are constructed of brick with a hipped slate roof and feature flanking chimneys topped with clay pots.

The houses are arranged symmetrically with a three-bay front. The ground floor has a central segmental archway enclosing a pair of six-panelled doors, each with a reeded architrave and angle blocks. The first floor is marked by a painted string course. The outer bays have sash windows with glazing bars, while a second-floor window on the left side is a 20th-century two-light casement. All windows have gauged brick heads. Number 31 also possesses a cellar and an attic.
