Description
No. 45 Peach Street is a former forge, now serving as a reception area for adjoining offices. It dates from the mid-19th century and was altered and refurbished in the late 20th century. The building is constructed of brick and features an old tile gabled roof. It is a single-storey structure with a chimney located at the rear. The gable end faces Peach Street and includes one sash window with glazing bars positioned to the right of a heavy panelled door. Inside, there is a brick forge and a permanent display that traces the history of the forge. The interior also showcases exposed queen post roof trusses with clasped purlins.
