Description

These are a pair of buildings, numbers 21 and 22 Park Street, dating to approximately 1910-1920. They were built in a style reminiscent of the early Georgian period, acting as an infill development. The buildings are two storeys and an attic, constructed of red brick with a stone plinth. A decorative band runs horizontally between the two storeys. The eaves have bracketed wooden cornices, and the roof is tiled with three hipped dormers. The windows are flush-framed glazing bar sashes, with narrower windows in the centre above a pair of doorways. The front doors are six-panel affairs, with rectangular fanlights above. The door surrounds include stone pilasters and long, fluted brackets with small decorative details, supporting a flat hood. The buildings are included in the list primarily due to their contribution to the wider group value of Park Street.
