Description

Tithe Farm Cottage is a late 16th-century hall house, with additions dating to the 17th century. It is located on the south side of Wraysbury Station Road, near Wraysbury. The original house comprised four bays, with a floor added at a later date. A brick ridge chimney has been cut down, displaying rebated angles. The building is timber framed with painted brick infilling, and has a steeply pitched roof covered with old clay tiles. The front measures two storeys and has three windows, arranged irregularly. It features small, modern leaded casement windows and a plank door with fillets, set within a modern, gabled clay-tiled porch. The interior retains most of the original timber framing. A large, rendered extension of no particular interest was added to the rear around 1940 and has a flat roof.
