Description
Little Court is an early 17th century or earlier cottage located on Horton Bells Lane. It is timber framed and clad in brick, topped with an old tiled roof. The building has two storeys and consists of two bays, featuring an end chimney from the original cottage and an early 19th century brick extension beyond. The cottage has 19th century casement windows of varying sizes, along with a modern porch and rear extensions.
Inside, the cottage showcases exposed timbers, including beams, plates, and a main tie beam in the center. An early partition was inserted beyond this tie but has since been removed, leaving the beam in place. The early 19th century staircase is likely in its original position, and the doors are also from the early 19th century. The fireplace has been altered but remains in its original location.
