Description
The Crown Public House and attached barn is a late 18th century building located on the west side of Horton The Green. It is constructed from colourwashed brick and features an old tile roof with later Dutch gables on the side elevations. The structure stands two storeys high with attics. On the first floor, there are three double hung sash windows without glazing bars, set in flush wood surrounds. The ground floor has two double hung sash windows with glazing bars and shutters, positioned on either side of a central entrance that is topped by a small flat hood supported by cut brackets. There are also two later hipped and tiled dormers flanking the chimneys. To the right, there is a painted, weatherboarded barn with a plain tile roof, which is connected to the main building, creating an L-shaped plan.
