Description
Brookfield is an 18th-century country house of grey brick with red brick dressings and an old tile hipped roof. It is a handsome, small building with three storeys and a slight central projection. The facade features 1:1:1 double-hung sash windows with glazing bars, set within flat-arched reveals with cills. A harmonious, modern closed porch is centrally located, and a round-headed window is above it on the second floor. A second-floor casement is on the left-hand side. The building has a modillion brick cornice and an open pediment, topped by a parapet. The west elevation features a two-storey, semi-octagonal bay from the 19th century. A modern, single-storey projection is on the east side. The interior contains a plain 19th-century staircase.
