Description
Old Farmhouse is a farmhouse that has been converted into a house. It dates from the late 16th century and has been altered in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building features a timber frame that is mostly encased in brick, topped with an old tile gabled roof. It has an L-shaped plan consisting of three by two framed bays, with two storeys and an attic, as well as one and a half storeys. The farmhouse is notable for its three large chimneys, two of which have clay pots.
On the entrance front, which faces south, there is a one-bay gable on the right side that has a two-light attic window directly above a similar window on the first floor. To the left, there is a four-light window on the ground floor. A brick plat band runs along the first-floor level. The building features two half-dormers, each with a three-light window, and on the ground floor, there is one four-light and one five-light window. A 20th-century plank door is located on the right under a gabled porch supported by plain wooden posts, with a small 19th-century brick buttress to the left of the porch.
