Description
The building is a barn with an attached cowshed and stables located at Shottesbrooke Farm, approximately 15 metres northwest of the farmhouse. It dates from the 17th century and early 19th century. The barn features a timber frame, an old tiled gabled roof, and is weatherboarded. It has a rectangular plan consisting of six framed bays and includes a hipped midstrey on the east side.
The cowshed and stable are attached to the north side of the barn. They have a timber frame, with part weatherboarding and part chalk, and old tiled hipped roofs. The cowshed is in an L-plan with four framed bays, while the stable has three framed bays. The stable also features dentilled eaves on its north and west fronts. The cowshed and stable are included for their group value.
