Description

Stable Cottage, Bell Cottage, and workshops with an attached wall are located approximately 88 metres south west of Bisham Abbey. Originally built in the 16th century, the buildings have been altered in the mid and late 20th century. They feature random chalk and stone construction, with some brick and painted weatherboard. The roof is tiled and gabled, topped with a lantern that includes a clock and weathervane. The structure has a long rectangular plan and a flat roof dormer extension at the north end of the north front, and it is one and a half storeys tall.

The entrance front is irregular, with 20th-century scattered casement windows that have glazing bars. The right-hand section has weatherboarding on the first floor with two- and three-light casements. There are two planked doors set in a semicircular arched recess, with an entrance door to the left of these, featuring a flat hood supported by cut brackets. The left-hand section is mostly stone and includes three hipped dormers, one 20th-century chimney, and three- and four-light casements on the ground floor, along with a 20th-century entrance door to the right of centre.

An adjoining chalk wall on the left has a tiled, weathered top and a large brick-arched opening leading to the rear yard. The rear front is made of chalk and stone, with only one small window opening.
