Description

This is an 18th-century hay barn situated approximately 40 metres southeast of numbers 1 and 2, Smewins Cottages. The barn is timber-framed with some weatherboarding and brick infill, and has a gabled roof covered in old tiles. It has a rectangular plan, consisting of five bays with a midstrey on its east side, in the second bay from the right. The midstrey features large plank doors. Inside, the barn has a queen post roof with clasped purlins, and straight posts and braces.
