Description
The Ringers Public House is a cottage that has been converted into a public house. It dates from the late 16th century and has been altered in the early 19th and 20th centuries. The building features a timber frame that is encased in brick, with some areas of tile hanging. It has an old tiled gabled roof that adjoins Nos. 1 and 2 Oldfield Cottages, which are listed separately. The building has a rectangular plan with later extensions at the rear and stands two storeys tall with five bays. The entrance front is symmetrical, with a black painted plinth and five bays. The ground floor has sash windows with glazing bars and segmental heads. There is a 20th-century entrance door set in an older opening in the third bay. The south side has a tile-hung gable, and some timber framing is visible inside.
