Description
Old Hayward Farm House is a farmhouse that has been converted into a house. It dates from the 17th century and has two 18th-century and three 19th-century additions. The structure is built of brick and flint, with tiled roofs that are half hipped to the west. The eastern block is lower, and there are chimneys to the east of each section, featuring grouped stacks that are centrally located on the western build and flanked by hipped eaves dormers. The long block has 19th-century extensions that are at right angles to the north. The center of the southern block is from the 17th century, with 18th-century extensions to the east and west. The south elevation has two storeys and 1½ storeys to the west. It features two late 18th-century tripartite glazing bar sash windows with segmental heads flanking a central door to the west. There is also one three-light 17th-century casement window on the first floor and one 20th-century casement window on the ground floor in the center, along with one three-light casement and a blocked door to the east.
